Abstract
Fast image transmission is important in real time applications. However, high quality images need significant transmission time. In this paper we show that it is possible to send low resolution images with high transmission rate and then reconstruct them at destination to obtain high resolution images. First, original images are down-sampled to reduce their size. Then, these low resolution images are transmitted in addition to few high resolution images taken in a short interval. Since high and low resolution images were captured in a short interval, we assumed that necessary information for supper resolution is available in the high resolution images.
