Abstract
In this paper, the authors describe a novel radio access software platform (NRASP) to enhance the quality of experience to android based devices. Firstly, few characteristics of android architecture and constraints associated to offer seamless Mobility, session continuity and satisfactory QoE are discussed. Consequently, the proposed architecture is detailed addressing inherent challenges like Seamless Handover, QoS and Extendibility. The said software platform reduces substantial time-to-deployment and offers functionalities like dynamic selection of network by leveraging underlying radio access technologies and user profile preferences. Finally, few use-cases of the simulation of NRASP are detailed. Experimentation results lead us to conclude NRASP improves QoE significantly and has potential to be considered for future research.
