Abstract :
A novel broadband slot antenna array based on enhanced mutual coupling is presented. By increasing the mutual coupling effects between the slot array elements intentionally, array bandwidth can be extended effectively. The slot linear array is designed to operate in a wide frequency band ranges from 4 GHz to 18 GHz. Numerical results are presented to show the excellent performance of the array, such as large bandwidth, large grating-lobe free scan volume, low profile, low cross-polarization and compatible with conformal applications.
