Abstract :
Since the collapse of the economic bubble, the Japanese economy has been entrenched in a recession and is even lapsing into a deflationary regime. In hope of innovating out of this economic, university-industry interaction has come into the spotlight of public scrutiny. At the same time, the concern for information security, key to building secure network communication, is intensifying. This raises the question: what the current state of university-industry interaction is in the information security field? This article embarks on answering this question through the analysis of the coauthorship of papers in SCIS (Symposium on Cryptography and Information Security). The significance of SCIS has grown steadily each year, providing a rich analytical platform for university-industry collaboration and a valuable reference for the field of information security in Japan.
