Abstract :
This paper describes the design of an innovative dielectric resonator conformal antenna for Wi-Fi access gateways. The conformal antennas are made of an advanced RF high performance-low loss polymeric composite material that provides better mechanical robustness compared to conventional ceramic materials. This work aims mainly to demonstrate the possibility of designing antennas based on low cost, high performance materials, which can be produced with standard compounding and moulding technologies, thus introducing a new class of conformal antennas incorporated into electronic equipment housings.
