Abstract
Impulsive noise interference is a significant problem for ISDB-T receivers due to attenuation of OFDM signal. In this paper, we propose a wholly adaptive scheme to suppress the effect of the impulsive noise. The location of the impulsive noise can be accurately detected by using the guard band in frequency domain. Then we employ an adaptive window function to suppress the impulsive interference in terms of the ratio of the impulsive noise power and the average signal power. Simulation results confirm the validity of the proposed scheme for the ISDB-T receivers in both AWGN channel and Rayleigh fading channel.
