Abstract :
This paper suggests that a firm´s strategic orientation constrains its core resource base and influences the pattern of technology relationships that it undertakes. The research results suggest that strategic configuration theory, resource-based theory, and industry-level technology evolution models are consistent, and combine to explain a firm´s pattern of technology relationships
