Abstract :
Intellectual property value and synergy amongst consortiums define social-economic benefit for commercialization. The commercialization process in this paper describes the importance of parallel collaborative networks created between functional groups which serves to bring multi-disciplinary knowledge into procurement. Taking the commercialization of nanotechnology as an example, the forms of collaborative networks that form-the knowledge creation network and product creation network-are functioning concurrently to support the commercialization roadmap of meeting market applications with innovations. Further, to sustain the technology innovation culture, the social capital that is built around the creation networks is invaluable.
