Abstract :
By analyzing the characteristics of human finger veins image, an extracting method based on gray valley-shaped region searching is proposed, namely, using the profile curve valley-shaped characteristics of finger veins image to achieve the veins features extraction. In order to obtain the full extraction, image preprocessing is conducted preliminary, and a system for testing algorithm and its execution time based on DM6437 platform is established. The results show that: the algorithm is unique, easy to implement, and satisfactory effects for finger veins features extraction are realized. Furthermore, the execution time of the optimized algorithm can be used to the engineering applications.
