Abstract :
The microstrip reflectarray is composed of each phase-shifting element, so the ability of the element greatly affects the capability of the microstrip reflectarray. In this paper, we put forward a new single-layer phase-shifting element which is developed from the crossed-dipole, and then we do investigations into the phase characteristics of the new element structure using the equivalent waveguide approach method. The simulation results show that the new element can offer a slow phase slope while the phase rang is over 360°.
