Abstract
The charge stability for both positive and negative charges in oriented PTFE films was significantly better than that for charges in non-oriented PTFE films. This is probably related to the higher crystallinity in the oriented PTFE films with more interfacial states for charge trapping. The transport of the de-trapped positive charges in oriented PTFE films can be explained by a model taking thermal ion emission into consideration.
