Abstract
This paper includes the technical impact of distributed generation (DG) on voltage regulation when integrated into a typical distribution system. To study the interaction of DG with voltage regulators and capacitors, computer models were developed and control systems simulated and implemented. Test cases are presented that demonstrate and visualize the impact of DG on voltage regulation and the interaction of DG with voltage regulators and capacitors.
