Abstract :
Identification of protein region on the DNA sequence using signal processing technique is one of the important topics in biosignal processing and bioinformatics area. In this paper a new method is presented in order to identify exonic regions on the DNA sequences. This method applies adaptive filter in order to identify period-3 region on DNA sequence. Thereinafter, discrete wavelet is applied to decrease the effect of noise in output spectrum too. This technique helps improve the identification accuracy. At the end of this paper the proposed algorithm is applied on two eukaryotic gene sequences and the output results are compared with another method and it shown how much the accuracy of identification is improved.
