Abstract :
Readily predictable deadband effect or constant-input limit cycles can be generated using a first-order digital circuit subject to magnitude rounding. The bound for the magnitude of deadband and necessary and sufficient conditions for the occurrence or nonoccurrence of specific patterns of deadbands in relation to input values and the multiplier coefficients are given. The results will be useful for educational demonstrations and hardware testing of certain digital circuits
