Abstract
The electrical conductivity of LDPE films was studied with temperature (30°C to 75°C), electrical field (6.3 to 22.5 MV/m), and pressure (1 to 850 bar). An anomalous discharge current was observed in the transient state after the application of a DC field, for example, above 15.3 Mv/m for 55 °C. The anomalous current, depending on these parameters, was attributed to the existence of a space charge in the polymer
