A virtual office environment for home office worker based on 3D virtual space

Describes a system that provides a “work-at-home” environment based on a virtual shared room built on a 3D graphics workstation. We realize an “awareness space” on the system to avoid the tradeoff between providing a facility for informal communication and keeping one´s workspace information private from other people´s awareness.
