            Abstract :
The method of moments (MOM) has proven to be one of the most valuable tools for EMC-analysis. Extending this method by transmission line theory, considering distributed sources, in conjunction with the complex cable transfer-impedance, delivers the possibility to calculate the signal-coupling from an external pulse source to an equipment port under the screen of a shielded cable. By combining the MOM with the geometrical theory of diffraction (GTD, UTD) arrangements can be analysed which contain both electrically small and electrically large bodies.
