Abstract :
In this paper Electric Field Intensities are calculated using CSM and Analytical methods and compared by considering change in various parameters like number of fictitious charges, distance from GIB Conductor center and assignment factor. With fixed value of assignment factor, the magnitude of electrostatic field in GIB is first increasing and then decreasing with increase of number of fictitious charges. CSM calculated electric field is always less than the Analytical calculated electric field in GIB except near the surface of GIB Conductor. Also For the fixed number of fictitious line charges the electric field intensity calculated using CSM in GIB is increasing with increase of assignment factor.
