Abstract :
The authors present a detailed study of the dielectric properties of poly(hydroxyethyl acrylate) (PHEA) and PHEA/Kevlar composites by means of the thermally stimulated depolarization currents (TSDC) method, partial heating, and thermal sampling techniques in a wide range of temperatures and water contents. The measurements make it possible to investigate the influence of moisture on the different relaxation mechanisms and the different binding modes of water. Additional information is obtained from differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and sorption isotherm measurements
