Abstract :
This paper presents a CPW-fed modified rectangular printed monopole antenna. The configuration has semicircular base with circular slot cut inside the patch. The impedance and radiation characteristics of the proposed monopole are compared with that of a printed rectangular monopole. The proposed CPW-fed printed monopole antenna has ultra broad bandwidth which covers almost all the communications channels starting from 916 MHz.
