Abstract :
When there are several paths with significant performance differences, using the Concurrent Multipath Transfer (CMT) is no better than using Single Path (SP) or even worse than SP. And in CMT environment, sometimes Congestion Window (CWND) can not reflect the bandwidth condition of path. This paper presents a new scheme which is using Detect State to explore the maximum CWND which reflects path bandwidth condition. Based on the Detect State, the system could decide to use CMT or only a single path automatically. And based on the maximum CWND, it could do path selection more effectively. In the evaluation part, we show the performance of scheme with Detect State could gain a remarkable increasing of total throughput.
