Abstract :
The electrically forced phase transition of ferroelectric copolymers of vinylidene fluoride and trifluorethylene is considered. The ferroelectric phase transition temperature of nonpoled samples of the polymer, Tc, rose due to application of an external bias electric field. On the other hand, in the case of poled samples, both rise and fall of Tc, were observed. The experimental results are discussed in comparison with the effect of hydrostatic pressure on this phase transition
