Abstract
The pyroelectric current transient induced by laser irradiation was measured for VDF/TrFE (vinylidene fluoride-trifluoroethylene) copolymers in order to examine the polarization distribution in the thickness direction developed during ferroelectric polarization reversal. It is found that the polarization profile is uniform for the case of relatively fast switching. On the other hand, the slow switching process develops nonuniform polarization profiles, suggesting that polarization reversal progress from the positively biased side
