Abstract :
PZT:PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) composites were prepared in different weight ratios. The electrical conductivity of these samples was measured as a function of temperature and field. It was found that the conductivity increased from 10-14 (ohm cm)-1 to 10-11 (ohm cm)-1 as the percentage of PZT in the composites was increased from 70% to 90% by weight. The pyroelectric current and dielectric constant of these composites were also studied. The pyroelectric coefficient increased from 40 to 76 n Coul/cm2 /°C as PZT was increased from 70% to 90% by weight in the composites at 50°C
