Abstract
Efficient VLSI algorithms and implementation architectures for two-dimensional FIR filters are proposed, which can be widely used in signal processing. The structure of the filters contains less delays and multipliers than previous ones. It is clear that the theoretical analysis and hardware realisation of 2D FIR filters are more convenient than those given in the past, since the linear mapping is in two-value signals
