Abstract :
Object-oriented (OO) databases are deemed to be more suitable than traditional systems (e.g. relational systems) for applications involving complex data items such as multimedia information. At present, however, OO methods have some difficulty in modelling complex relationships. In this paper, an extended OO data model is proposed in order to overcome these shortcomings. The extensions enhance the modelling capability of current OO models
