Abstract :
For the limitation of classical Fourier transform, based on a three-dimensional auditory wavelet transform spectrum, three new salient features, spectrum envelope of auditory wavelet transform, temporal cross-section of auditory wavelet transform spectrum and a modified wavelet cumulative energy are introduced in this paper for the signal processing analysis of the transient musical tones. Furthermore, in order to create a connection between the auditory perception and the characteristics of signal processing, a rough concept of consonance is also put forward in the paper.
