Abstract
This paper presents the on-going planning of the Chinese nationwide interconnected power systems. The present power systems in China and the main reasons to build up the nationwide interregional interconnected power systems are introduced. A variety of proposed options and key effective factors in considering the interconnection schemes are categorized and discussed. Potential problems on technical, economical, management and new technique applications are estimated
