Abstract
A novel approach is proposed to extend the L-system formalism to model the hybridization of plant forms. Several algorithms are developed and tested. Pictures illustrating these algorithms are generated by using computer graphics. These preliminary results demonstrate that the proposed new approach deserves further refinements.<>
