Abstract :
Summary form only given. With the consolidation of the deregulation of the wholesale electric power industry in the United States, several computer systems have been developed to support it. This presentation provides an overview of the major systems in place to support the deregulation of the wholesale electric energy industry in the US and Canada. Emphasis is placed on how the data and information flows among these different systems, as well as on the technology and network security measures to provide a reliable and secure data communication transfer.
