Abstract :
This paper briefly describes the power system protection program offered at the University of Saskatchewan. A brief account of the development of the courses and their outlines are provided. Laboratory facilities that are used in teaching, and providing hands-on experience in designing and applying relays in electric power utility and industrial environments are described. The procedures used for designing, developing implementing and testing relays are also given
