Abstract :
The paper reviews the strategy of research and development of nanotechnology in Japan. Fujitsu the nanotechnology research centre in Japan focuses on the second and third aspects of nanotechnology. Second aspects of nanotechnology is the terabit storage technology and the third one is the network device development. The paper describes the recent results of the research including a technology to form size and position controlled quantum dots, carbon nanotube CVD growth for interconnection in Si LSIs. The paper also presents the future prospects of bio-nanotechnology to establish future healthcare network society.
