Abstract
EPS including Long Term Evolved (LTE) and Evolved Packet Core (EPC) has been accepted as the architecture of the next generation advanced mobile telecommunication network in the future. QoS in EPC is an important mechanism to provide guaranteed service to users. However, current QoS in EPC mainly based on barrier identification, resulting in complicated and forgetful QoS negotiation and updating process and scalability problem since barrier binding information should be stored without any aggregation mechanism. In this paper, we propose a new QoS scheme, which utilizes Flow Label in IPv6 to replace barrier identification, in order to solve the limitation of current QoS scheme, The security problem of flow label is also studied in this paper to enhance the secured application of flow label.
