Abstract :
This paper describes the characteristics of conductive noises when a fuse is blown. First, this paper shows that the fusing time is dominated by voltage supplied to load through fuses, and the characteristics of the arc-discharge after fusing which are located to noise are described. The bridge model is proposed to investigate the generation mechanism of arc-discharge phenomena. Finally, the conductive noises generated on AC-mains etc. when a fuse is blown and their characteristics are shown in comparison with noises generated when a mechanical switch cuts off the load, and it is shown that the former is bigger than the latter
