Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a channel estimation method which uses piecewise linear interpolation with wavelet de-noising to reduce additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) and intercarrier interference (ICI) for orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) mobile communication systems. The performance including mean squared error (MSE) and bit error rate (BER) of the proposed channel estimator is compared with conventional methods. Computer simulations in mobile environment demonstrate that the proposed channel estimation method exhibit an improved performance.
