Abstract :
Femtocell could efficiently improve system capacity and provide coverage enhancement for cellular systems. However, due to the complexity of intra-cell interference calculation introduced by femtocells, few works has been done on the mathematical models for evaluating uplink capacity. In this paper, we propose a reasonable modeling on cellular systems comprised of femtocells. Corresponding outage performance is studied and analyzed. Numerical results show that considerable uplink capacity can be achieved by deploying femtocells in cellular systems.
