Abstract :
We look at a communication system between BTS and MS using millimeter wave, where MS moves with a speed of 61.2 km/h. Buildings are modeled as obstacles, for which diffraction mechanisms result and are modeled as single knife edges. The received power at the MS is the accumulated result of diffraction path losses. This study evaluates the received power at MS, which demonstrates that by applying macrodiversity on two base stations higher received power can be obtained by the MS.
