Abstract
National and International Accreditation process have posed challenges on conventional teaching learning process in higher education. As per Washington accord it has become mandatory to focus on Graduate Attributes while framing programme and course outcome along with assessing and attaining their outcome. This has enforced paramount need to adopt innovative teaching methodology which can engender active learning along with overall skill development of students in higher education too. This paper proposes a paradigm shift in teaching methods and suggests different tools and techniques for improving learning performance along with self and interpersonal skill development of students. A case study of one of the course delivery of BE Electrical programme is presented.
