Abstract :
Sensing the spectrum effectively is one of the key technologies in cognitive radio. Lots of detection algorithms can be used to detect the existence of the spectrum holes, cooperative detection was proposed to cope with the problem of wireless channel defects, however the performance of the algorithms could still be effected by the noise uncertainty which caused by the random changes of the wireless channel. In this paper, the general and less complicated detection algorithm, energy detection, is used as an example to analyze the effect of noise uncertainty under the case of cooperative detection technology, the performance with and without noise uncertainty are also simulated.
