Abstract :
The VAX 6000 model 400 system, which provides up to 85% more uniprocessor performance than the previous model and has an optional vector processor, is described. An overview of the VAX 6000 series is given. The 6000 model 400 processor module, memory, input/output devices, and packaging are described in detail.<>
