Abstract :
Simultaneous switching noises (SSN) or ground bounces and crosstalk in complex interconnects and power/ground networks have increasingly become the limiting factors in the signal integrity and EMI of high speed digital PCB systems. In this paper, an integrated approach is developed for system signal integrity and ground noise simulation, with emphasis on power/ground plane modeling, reduction of simultaneous switching noises or common mode noises for EMI, and the effectiveness of decoupling capacitors in solving ground noise problems
