Abstract
This paper presents a new approach to the outcome based education compared to the traditional approach. The new approach is based on the modification to the traditional approach. Outcome based education purely depends on the performance of the students. Outcome-based learning is learner driven and it aims at achieving program outcomes by defining the assessment method. Assessment is considered as the main tool in the outcome based teaching. An effort has been made in this paper to project how the assessment tool has benefited in achieving the program outcomes that is defined in the curriculum. The Program outcomes will finally be mapped to the course outcomes. This paper emphasizes on the attainment of the Course outcome.
