Abstract
The traffic simulation is a very useful method to analyze various kinds of traffic control algorithms. In this paper, a parallel simulation algorithm is presented. To imitate the traffic flows more really, we apply the queueing theory to the traffic flows and abstract the vehicles with some complex behavior such as accelerating, decelerating and overtaking. XML is also used to represent the various traffic elements. Finally, a parallel simulation experiment is made and the performance is analyzed.
