Abstract :
Polarimetric SAR interferometry (PolInSAR) can be used to inversion of vegetation parameters and a two-layer coherent scattering model composed of a random volume over the ground is applied usually. However, the propagation of the electromagnetic waves is anisotropic because the extinction coefficients are highly polarization dependent, the random model is inapplicable. In this paper, a new vegetation model composed of an oriented volume over the ground is employed and experimental data about the true scence can be gained through the microwave anechoic chamber. Finally, the oriented vegetation parameters are retrievaled by using three-stage method.
