Abstract :
This paper proposes a circular mobile QWERTY keyboard and analyzes performance on this keyboard compared to a standard flat keyboard. The Circularly Arced Keyboard (CAK) layout for single handed operation using the thumb was found to have a pangram replication time within 1.2 seconds compared to the regular keypad and a keystroke accuracy within 1.7%.
