  • Abstract
    In this paper we report about the signal and noise performance of a VCO and a PLL. An accurate method to calculate the phase noise is outlined. The characteristics of the PLL are calculated. The calculated values are compared to the measured results obtained with an IC realized in BICMOS technology.
