Abstract :
In today´s world we are accustomed to communicating through a variety of modes that extend beyond print. Educational institutions, however, still tend to focus on assessing the student through the mode of language. This abstract focuses on the value of a multimodal form of assessment in secondary and college settings where students are deeply engaged and able to express themselves more richly when they are assessed using more than language.
