Abstract :
The purpose of this paper is the design of a linear switched reluctance machine (LSRM), with a new topology concerning fault tolerant electric traction applications. A new methodology concerning LSRM optimised design, for electric traction urban systems at low and medium speeds, is applied to this new topology. This methodology is based on the systematic use of a known and fast processing calculation process, in which some changes are made in order to turn it more generic
