Abstract :
A new concept of emission and susceptibility testing is presented. The concept is based on a use of the first in the world true dual polarization broadband gigahertz field (BGF) simulator that meets the criteria of total field symmetry in the frequency range extending from DC to 40 GHz. The new BGF simulator is an extremely versatile, cost-efficient, power-efficient electromagnetic test tool that represents the “next generation” of EMC test facilities. The BGF Simulator is based on a hybrid concept and it consists of a TEM-mode parallel line and a broadband horn antenna joined together
