  • Abstract
This paper presents a new method that provides an AC voltage using a pulse width modulation (PWM) technique. In this method, a PWM is obtained by a direct torque control (DTC) of a virtual motor. Some merits of the proposed method include: the use of a simple algorithm, providing the voltages with different amplitudes and frequencies, low harmonic contents of the line currents and with no conventional filters for harmonic reduction. Simulation results are presented and compared with the other available PWM methods
